Mike Traub
Vice-President, Riverstone Retirement Communities


With a bachelor of commerce specializing in hotel and food management, Mike began his career managing luxury first-class hotels. Over the next 20 years, he built on that experience, extending his expertise to include managing a range of retirement residences, as well as a variety of other innovative properties. Mike has garnered a solid reputation as a respected and ethical operator, earning top ratings from the Ontario Retirement Communities Association.

Now, as Vice-President of Riverstone Retirement Communities, Mike is excited about the opportunity to make a positive difference in people’s lives and offer the same quality of care that his own grandmother once enjoyed. He’s proud to be managing a company that aims to be at the forefront of retirement living in the Ottawa area. It began with Oakpark, then expanded to Bridlewood Trails, Maplewood, Carlingwood and Stirling Park. But it won’t stop there; drawings and plans for future developments are on the horizon. Riverstone, like Mike, is just getting started.


Snjezana Kulic
General Manager


Snjezana joined the Riverstone family in January of 2015. Snjezana has an excellent reputation and a wealth of experience in the Ottawa retirement industry.  Over the years, she has worked in Long Term Care and Retirement Homes in different roles, such as; nursing, management, consulting and teaching. Snjezana has worked as a General Manager of couple of prominent Retirement Residences in Ottawa. She also has experience in teaching with two local colleges. Snjezana volunteers as a career mentor with Ottawa Community Immigrant Services Organization and is an RN certified in Gerontology. She believes in providing competent and compassionate care and services to residents through the team approach. Snjezana is excited to continue ensuring that our residents live in a supportive and safe environment that promotes independence and dignity within a continuum of care.

Diane Charlebois
Marketing Manager


Beginning her career in retirement communities in 2004, Diane holds a Bachelors degree with majors in Sociology and Psychiatry. She joined the Maplewood team in October 2015; proving her commitment to Maplewood residents daily. 

A proud Optimist member, she enjoys helping people and working with seniors and youth in the community. Diane's larger than life personality is projected in every encounter and we are proud to call her part of the RIverstone family.


Rosalind Gyasi, RN, BScN
Director of Care 


Rosalind Gyasi holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Nursing from Ryerson University and is currently undertaking her Masters of Public Health with Nursing and Gerontology specialization.

Her  nursing experience spans from acute care focusing on adult and gerontology population, to long term care, correctional nursing, and education. Rosalind is very passionate about nursing and strives to provide quality care to each resident in order to make a difference in their lives.  

Through compassionate care, Rosalind strives to promote ongoing education among staff members to maintain overall knowledge and to follow best practice principals in providing care to the residents.

Rosalind is excited to work with the Maplewood team to provide quality, holistic and resident centered care as well as building positive relationships with residents and their families.

Emily Parenteau
Activity Director

Maplewood welcomed Emily to it's family in May 2018. She started her career in hospitality and customer service, working several years in this field before following her dreams and working with seniors. Her passion and dedication have allowed her to excel in her role as Activity Manager. Emily brings with her 3 years of experience in the retirement sector and many new and creative ideas that we know our residents will love. Known for her energy and enthusiasm, we are excited to welcome Emily to the Maplewood family.


Brenda Grandy
Office Manager


Brenda is formally trained in Administration from Sheridan College; but much of Brenda’s experience comes from working in the retirement industry at numerous homes for over thirteen years. At fifteen, her first employment was as a Dietary Aide in Long Term Care. Over the years she has had the opportunity to work in various positions including Housekeeping, Server, Health Care Aide Receptionist, and Business & Marketing Manager. This well-rounded experience and some great mentors has provided her with knowledge of the retirement industry from every perspective.

Brenda relocated from Windsor, Ontario to Ottawa in 2010 with her family. She is thrilled to have joined Maplewood Retirement Community in July 2013 as the Office Manager. She looks forward to working with such a warm and compassionate team.

Denis Analytis


From the age of 16, Denis always knew what he wanted to do with his life. His fondest childhood memories were being in the kitchen with his mother and grandmother, where they instilled their passion for cooking in him. With 24 years of experience ranging from Ottawa’s busiest restaurants, banquet halls and golf courses, Denis now brings his passion for food as our resident Chef de cuisine.

Working at Maplewood has allowed him to use fresh, sustainable, regional products to create an innovative and memorable dining experience. He looks forward to sharing his talents and passions with you.

Stacey has worked in the retirement sector for over 10  years  and has loved every minute of it. Her passion for food and the food industry is evident every day when she discribes the meal options to our residents. With the dream of one day managing her own kitchen, Stacey very enjoys working the seniors and thrives on providing each resident with superior service. She is warm, attentive and is always smiling, her versatility and leadership have made her an excellent addition to the Maplewood team.

Greg O'Brien
Environmental Manager


Greg O’Brien began his career in Property Maintenance in Dublin, Ireland over 20 years ago, and continued on the same path when he moved to Ottawa 15 years ago.  As Environmental Services Manager he is responsible for the Maintenance department, Laundry and Housekeeping. He brings his wealth of knowledge and expertise to ensure that his department’s  day to day operations run smoothly and efficiently. Greg also oversees tradesmen and contractors as well as performs regular checks and repairs to maintain a safe and up to date building. Ensuring that our residents receive the highest level of service is  Greg’s objective. His positive and caring attitude, along with a bit Irish charm,  helps to ensure that he meets his goals
